In this episode, I sit down with someone whose inner strength and personal reinvention truly moved me: Angelica Fuentes, Founder & CEO of NOWFUL

From navigating profound personal challenges to building a wellness system rooted in clarity, self-love, and deep inner work, Angelica shares a journey that is both inspiring and practical. Her story begins with a simple but life-altering moment of gratitude and self-awareness at age 19 — a moment that sparked a lifelong path toward inner connection.

Throughout our conversation, Angelica opens up about the masks we all wear, the pain we numb rather than face, and how her 40-year journey of self-discovery eventually led to the creation of NOWFUL: a complete mind-body-spirit wellness system.

What struck me most is how each product — from the mushroom complex to the sleep cream to the affirmation cards — directly reflects what she relied on to survive some of the darkest moments of her life, including losing everything at age 52 and rebuilding from the ground up.

Key Moments From the Episode

* The moment that changed everything: At 19, a friend challenged Angelica’s sadness, opening the door to decades of inner work and self-awareness.

* Shedding masks and facing the truth: Angelica shares how she confronted emptiness, fear, and a lifetime of expectations placed on her as a woman in a traditional Mexican family.

* How NOWFUL was born: Each product in the NOWFUL system comes from practices she used to survive everything from leadership stress to life-altering loss — including losing her businesses, her assets, and nearly her daughters in a 24-hour period.

* The power of ritual: Angelica explains why tiny, consistent habits are the foundation for resilience, clarity, and courage — and how they helped her rebuild her life at 52 and launch a new company at 62.

* Inside the NOWFUL system: From a 10-mushroom complex to a grounding essential oil, magnesium sleep cream, and smart affirmation cards linked to CBT — Angelica walks through how each piece helps reconnect you to your inner strength.

Join me, Ramon Vela, in listening to the episode. If you’ve ever felt stressed, disconnected, overwhelmed, or simply unsure of your next step, you will find so much wisdom and strength in this conversation. Angelica’s story is a reminder that everything we need already lives within us — we just need the right rituals to awaken it.

Tune in to hear her powerful journey and learn more about the NOWFUL system.

Welcome back everyone. I have a great show for you today. I have with me Angelica Fuentes who is founder and CEO of Nowfull. Welcome to the show.

Angelica (00:30.2)
Thank you so much, everyone, for having me.

Ramon Vela (00:32.444)
Well, I appreciate your time. I realize you're busy. You've got a lot of things going on. So I always appreciate when someone takes a moment out of the day to share with us about their brand, about their journey and with our audience. So I definitely appreciate it. Thank you. I always like to start these conversations with a question of gratitude. It's sort of my signature question. It's a question I ask pretty much everyone who I interview, regardless of who they are. And for me, it's very important.

I have had some very difficult times in my entrepreneurial journey, my personal life as well. And gratitude has been one of those things that have helped me through those dark moments. It's incredibly powerful. It's easy and it's available to anyone at any moment, whether you pray, whether you journal, whether you meditate. I have a meditation that I do around gratitude and it is something that I encourage everyone to do, especially if you're feeling anxious and have anxiety and stress.

It just helps put things in context. It helps to relieve and manage your nervous system. And I've even heard a scientist on a podcast say that it is so powerful that it is nearly impossible to have anxiety and stress at the same time. And so it's really something I highly encourage. The other reason is that I think from a consumer standpoint, it's really easy to just look at a product online or on the shelf.

or brand and just think, you know, it's just some faceless corporation. It's just, you know, they don't know how difficult it is to bring a product to market. They see a brand and they just think, well, you know, some corporation. But what I like to do on this show is I like to bring this to a very personal, very human level. And I want to humanize the brand. And I feel that if people get to know who I'm speaking to by getting to know what they're grateful for, then it kind of humanizes the process a little bit. So with all of that said,

Angelica, if you don't mind, can you share a moment or a memory when someone did something for you that made you feel grateful because it meant that they believed in you, your vision, or your potential?

Angelica (02:42.51)
was around 19 years old. I had a friend that came up to me. I must have been feeling very sad at the moment. And she said, how can you be sad? You have everything. And I looked at her and I remember my answer so clearly. said, I have everything, yet I have nothing. I had a privileged life. I had comfort. I had a fit body. was 19 years old. I had beauty. I had a very nice car that I was driving at the time.

yet I had this big hole in here in the middle that was empty and it was dark and it was like pitch black. And I realized that having everything on the outside meant nothing if you feel empty on the inside. So I started on this beautiful journey of self, of a self search. started

realizing that no one could ever feel that space inside of me, but me. That if I change, even if that change was little, everything would change around me. I started understanding that I could shed masks, that I could acknowledge I had fears and that I had things that I had gone through that I was not proud of and I could get rid of them. So I could start on my personal journey. That friend, her name is Medium. And I'm so grateful because

Her question opened up a beautiful path of self-discovery, of going in-depth, of finding out that everything I needed was already here, just waiting to wake up as soon as I tapped into it. I found that all the courage and all the strength I needed to achieve anything, whether it be in my personal or my professional life, was already here. So I'm very, very grateful for her.

Ramon Vela (04:36.571)
Well, I appreciate that. That goes straight to the core of the question, which is someone sees something in you. And obviously, the question was around care, but there was something about you. They cared about you. They wanted to see your potential.

come through and, they saw that something was wrong. And so I can appreciate that. And I think that's probably a really good segue into, know, now full, but also I always like to learn a little bit before like your life before now full. Obviously I'm gonna make an assumption here that this question and this journey that you went on.

is probably something now that you've been sort of like a lifelong journey and as well as sharing it. So why don't we kind of start there? So learning about, you know, having this whole, having this, this, whatever you want to call it, thing that you had to kind of find within yourself. What was that like in the early days? And then let's walk, walk us through sort of.

how that led up to what you started doing and then how you started building Nowful.

Angelica (06:00.43)
So I think I would describe it as a void inside of me. And I think we all have a certain amount of emptiness within us when we search to find happiness, joy, strength on the outside. And for me, it was learning that I needed to shed a lot of masks that I wore to survive.

Being a woman, being born in a very traditional Mexican family gave me three things. I was either to be somebody's daughter, somebody's wife, and somebody's mother. That was like the only thing that I was supposed to become as I grew up as a woman. By that time, I had lived a lot of gender abuse that women go through. And I feel very empty. I feel very lonely. I feel very insecure. I didn't feel protected.

Ramon Vela (06:46.567)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (06:59.406)
And so I had to search for that. had to go find it somewhere. And my search did take me to where most of the people go to, which is buy things, have things, try to look myself better, try to make everybody feel good around me. Until I realized after this question that medium had for me, that I was not going to feel it with anything. Cause I asked myself, okay, Angelica, if so and so was here, would you feel better?

If you went to that place and you could buy that, would that make you feel good about you? And I realized that those things were just moments of feeling okay, but it didn't last. It only lasted for a few minutes, hours, maybe a couple of days, and it was gone. So I went on a quest to find me. Finding oneself is very hard.

It's very embarrassing because you have to truly look at yourself and find out who you become. What masks have you been wearing to survive in your life? So I started shedding them slowly with a lot of pain and a lot of work, accepting who I had become at a certain age because it took me a journey of years to do that. It wasn't just like, one day I woke up and in a week I was fine. No.

It's a life journey to fill yourself with what really matters, to find that everything you need to achieve anything you want in life, whether it's personal or professional, like I just mentioned, it's already in here. It's just waiting for you to tap into the different, I view them as little dwarfs, know, resilience, happiness, love, passion, balance, all of it is already in here. Waiting for us.

Ramon Vela (08:54.493)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (08:56.632)
to open the doors so it can flow out.

Ramon Vela (08:59.325)
May I ask you a question? When you were in the... So when you were... When you before, you know, when your friend asked you that question and in that timeframe, that life that you were in, I have found that just from my own experience and seeing and observing others is that many times we learn to adapt our life.

to these pains, having that loneliness inside of us. we naturally, even without thinking, it's almost like we're on autopilot. We don't even realize that we're sad, or we don't even realize that we're depressed, or we don't realize that we feel unfulfilled, because our brains and our bodies adapt. And then we look for ways to kind of make ourselves feel better.

you know, some people buy things, know, thinking that, you know, I'm going to buy this, it's going to make me feel better. Or sometimes even people do other things, know, drugs or whatever, whatever it is to make themselves feel a little better. And what I have found is that a lot of times people don't even realize how they're feeling because they're not in touch with how they're feeling, which is the reason why I think you're your friend kind of bringing this up to you. I think it was actually really

really a good thing, a great thing for her to do because we don't really like ask people that. We don't even, we prefer non-confrontation. But the point is I'm trying to make is that so many times we may be going through things and we don't even realize it. We don't feel it. We adapt to the way we feel. I mean, from my own personal journey, when I had to close the business down in 2008,

I didn't realize how much stress I had and I didn't realize that I was depressed. I just was just, you know, just pushing my way through it and so forth. And I just, think a lot of people live like that. They just adapt. So how did, how do you, how did you, before your friend started talking to you about all this stuff, did you even notice or feel, or did you just say like, I feel bad and that's it?

Angelica (11:21.006)
I think we all feel.

Something.

Ramon Vela (11:28.861)
you

Angelica (11:29.836)
that is missing inside when we're depressed or when we're lonely or when we are afraid, you feel it. But I think that we use all those externalities to numb it, not to feel better, because it doesn't make you feel better unless it's, you know, that one particular moment that you take it, that you use it, that you buy it. We go out to numb the feelings, to numb the loneliness, to numb the pain, to numb

Ramon Vela (11:31.794)
you

Angelica (11:59.854)
the fear and I had felt it for a very long time. I just had not put words to it. One of the things that we are not taught, for example, Ramon, is that today I do, but if I feel sad, we want to immediately not acknowledge it, not feel it when we should feel it. We should

Welcome the sadness. It's okay for me to be sad right now Stay with it. Cry if you must whatever brings that feeling Welcome it inside Because once you do and you process it then you can tell it. Okay, I let you go now I Am fine as many times as you need to repeat it. I think we've been taught not to welcome those feelings. We welcome happiness

We welcome joy, we welcome those quote unquote good feelings, but we don't welcome the ones that are uncomfortable. I think we should sit with them so we can get rid of them. I don't think we should just shut them out and pretend they don't exist. So that's what I started doing. How did I start doing this? I started reading a lot of books. My first book was called Living in the Light by Shakti Gayen. My second book by R2.

Ramon Vela (13:22.417)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (13:24.098)
what's called visualization. Then from there, I went on this amazing journey of having no need to carry all of that that I had on my shoulders to survive. And like I said, you it took years. It took me, I've been on this journey for 40 years, someone, and I still find things that I can correct. Now they're fast.

Ramon Vela (13:44.037)
you

Angelica (13:52.936)
I still open up my door of love and feel it with even more love. Because if I love myself, I can love freer. If I feel resilience, I can teach my daughters by the way I act and how to do it. If I respect myself, others can't do anything other than feel that energy and give it back to me. And that is why I created Nowful. Nowful is a with four wellness essentials in it to allow you

to wake up the way I wake up every morning, confident, full of self-love, with courage, energized to take on the next day. So it was my journey that brought me to Create Now Full, because I want to see it as a gift back to the universe, because I want everybody to have an accessible way

Ramon Vela (14:35.933)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (14:46.81)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (14:52.664)
but very powerful to give back to themselves, to reconnect with who they truly are so they can achieve what they're looking for.

Ramon Vela (15:03.229)
And is, and break it down for us a little bit, is now full, it's not just, is it just, it's not just about products. it, or is there another like a mental or spiritual or whatever you want to call it component to it? Because for me, it's like, and this is one of the questions I'm going to ask you is in your work and speaking with other people, like, how do you,

how do you wake up people from being on autopilot? Like how do you wake up someone so that they are aware of those emotions? Because I, know, kind of what I was mentioning earlier is a lot of times people, you're right, they start to feel sad and they think, I need to, I'm starting to feel sad, I don't want to feel it, so what am I going to do? I'm going to go have a drink, I'm going to go take the edge off, right? We even have phrases around, I'm going to take the edge off.

or I'm going to escape a little bit, I'm gonna go shopping, I'm gonna do this or that. And they don't wanna feel the feelings. And so we live on autopilot, a great part of our lives, and because we don't wanna feel these feelings. How do you get someone off of autopilot? How do you get someone to actually start feeling those feelings? And then how do they move on from there?

Angelica (16:25.166)
I cannot change a single human on this planet, but me. When I change, no one can ever relate to me the same way they used to because I'm not the same person even then that change is tiny. I'm different. It has to do with do I want to continue on this life of feeling nothing giving at all, like feeling nothing inside. Do I want to continue escalating and having more and more and more?

and then waking up one day feeling the same way that you did when you were at another place. If your answer is no, I don't want that. I want to truly live my life, then that's when you have to choose that you want to change. How does our system work? So we have four essential, four wellness essentials. I'm gonna end with your first question. Do we have something that can allow you to connect spiritually or emotionally? Yes, we do.

That's going to be my last one. First of all, we have a Mindthribe Mushroom Complex. Why did we choose this product? It's very important to have cognitive performance in today's world. We need to make sure that our mind is working properly. They were energized that our body feels good to take on the day. I take this to capsules every single morning when I wake up. There are 10 mushrooms in

this complex. Four of the main mushrooms are lion's mane, which I think nowadays a lot of people know. It has shiitake, reishi, cordyceps, and six other mushrooms that allow you to help your immune system, that gives you more focus, it gives you a boost. You're in the brain by having more cognitive performance, and it is amazing. So you wake up, the first thing you do is

Okay, I'm gonna start my day. I feel good. I work out every single day, so I love taking it. First thing I work up in the morning. Then we have our essential oil. The essential oil, you you put it on the palm of your hand, you rub it, you smell it. The smell is amazing. It has thyme, rosemary, peppermint, mint, lemon, and the mixture of those oils while putting it in your body.

Angelica (18:53.23)
It connects with the receptors that go directly into your bloodstream immediately. Plus the sense of smell, it's been proven that it connects you immediately to memories. It gives you more focus, more clarity, and it grounds you, which is very important because today there's a lot of asking of output.

making sure that you achieve the goals that they're set out there for you to achieve. So this I use a lot. Let me give you an example, little story. About a month and a half ago I in Houston, was on a call.

Not a great call. And when I hung up, I saw Silvia, Silvia is our COO. And she said, Oh my God, are you okay? I said, no. She said my face was red. I was, I don't know how you say this in English, like como Toro de Lida, know, those bull fights, do that, like when they're breathing, they're angry. I think I must've looked like that. She said, okay, okay, here, the oil. Put it on the palm of my hands. I rubbed it. I smelled it. I walked on the hall, came back and it's like, Oh, okay.

Ramon Vela (19:51.089)
Yeah.

Angelica (20:06.348)
The stress came down, I can focus again. Let's move on to what comes up next. And then we have the most amazing magnesium sleep cream. This is like an, I mean, we sell crazy this one. you put it on the soles of your feet. I put it on my neck and my shoulders. The other day, my daughter, my 12 year old daughter who starting to play golf had a pain on her back.

I put some of the magnesium cream because it also obviously distresses the muscle. It just slept like a baby. My two daughters and I put it on her feet and like I said, me on the shoulders and the back and I sleep literally like a baby. It has magnesium, valerian, passionflower and lavender, which are four of the most amazing natural products. And by the way, this is ancient.

Ramon Vela (20:39.621)
Yeah.

Ramon Vela (20:56.208)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (21:05.407)
Eastern medicine, all natural. Every single one of our products have been scientifically tested for decades that they do work. Now, this, you start your day with a mushroom, you go through your day with anchoring oil, and you go to sleep with our sleep cream. Then we have our first

ever.

smart affirmation cards that connect to the Nowfull app. What do I do with the cards? This is

Angelica (21:52.066)
how everything started, but we wanted to create a system. So I've written over 10,000 affirmations throughout my life. Most of the affirmations I've written have been written at times of pain, stress, fears, the darkest of moments that I've gone through. And yeah, some of them have it written by me, you know, in times of happiness and when I was thriving and when I had something.

Ramon Vela (21:55.356)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (22:20.898)
You know, as I resolved that was very amazing, you know, in the businesses that I was running. And so all the affirmations, there are 30 affirmations in the cards were written by me. These cards, what they do is that you shuffle them because they're the size and it looked like a deck of cards like paying in Vegas. You shuffle the cards. You put an intention. What is it that I, you know, need today? What is it that I won today?

Ramon Vela (22:25.649)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (22:49.942)
How am going to focus today? Your energy, your soul chooses the one it needs today. And you can ask anybody that uses affirmation cards when they get one, like, my God, yes, I needed that. Yes, you needed that. They have magic in them. Today, the one I chose, for example, it's called moments. My intention was how can I truly get across my message in Ramon's podcast, literally.

So mine says, today is not a rehearsal. This is my life. I am here. I feel it. Nothing was more powerful than being fully present. This moment is everything. So what do I do? The magic on the card, you tap it on your phone. Literally just tap it on your phone. wait, I to open my phone.

and it opens up the portal. Well, I already opened it up, but it opens up the you chose. It gives you something called the ripple effect, which goes more into depth as of why did you choose that card? When you get the cards, the first thing you do is that you answer nine questions. You have your own code on the box. You answer nine questions that are based on cognitive behavioral therapy. Once you answer them, it'll give you your

Ramon Vela (23:51.014)
Hmm.

Angelica (24:15.04)
psychological profile and your archetype. Then you tap your card and because of what it knows about you, the ripple effect will go more into depth. I have been journaling for over 50 years. The other part of me, the self search was 40, journaling for like 50 years, almost on a daily basis, not every single day. You know how many notebooks I have? Most of them, I don't even know where they went.

This app allows you to click a button and journal today, depending on how you feel or what you got. After that, it gives you the opportunity to vent, which I always use. The other day, my daughters were driving me nuts because I hug them and I kiss them. They're 15 and 12. Mom, you're weird. Mom, don't touch me. And it made me so sad. I, I invented, my girls made me very sad today.

Ramon Vela (25:06.907)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (25:14.082)
They no longer let me kiss them and hug them. And I absolutely loved doing that and I still do. But I know I need to respect their boundaries. When I vented that, the message that I got back was so profound, was so amazing, was so inspiring. And it allowed me to understand that yes, those are their boundaries. It is okay for me to continue loving them the way that I do.

It gave me this because I've been journaling and venting for at least a couple of months with my cards. So it knows me very well. And it is amazing what it does for your soul, for your mind, for your feelings. When you do that, it's having your own personal companion there to talk to you. Who more than you knows you.

You, we just don't know how to talk to ourselves. But if we could, that's exactly what we would get. it's a very personal journey that you go to, to reconnect with who you've always been, that we forget the time because of the way we live today. And I left this for last.

Ramon Vela (26:26.801)
Hmm.

Angelica (26:36.118)
Because this is the journey that I have been on for 40 years and I wanted to share with everybody how you could come back to you. When you come back to you, you're unstoppable. When you're connected, decisions come out from a clear space. When you use the hold box, the way that I'm saying and create tiny little rituals, which is what I did, created tiny little rituals that are habit forming, that are

easy yet very powerful, your life absolutely changes for the better. And that's why the Nelful system is here. And that's why I want to share it with everybody. Accessible, powerful, very easy to use.

Ramon Vela (27:24.752)
Well, there's so much to unpack what you just said, but let me just first also just mention to the audience that if you want to take a look at what we've what we've been talking about it, what Angelica just described, you can go to Now Full Journey. So two words, now full and then the word journey dot com. So now full journey dot com is the website. this Sure.

Angelica (27:51.288)
Can I interrupt you? Just sorry here. Now full with only one L N O W F U L journey.com.

Ramon Vela (28:00.131)
yeah, that's a good point. So now full journey, and we're going to make sure to have that link in our podcast description. So just FYI, can you can probably Google it. But if you're not, you look at our podcast description, we'll have a link there. So this is fascinating. I really like the idea of mixing the cards with the app and then having that tied to CBT cognitive behavioral behavioral therapy.

Because a lot of times, so I'm looking at this, I've had my own journey as well, is I'm kind of looking at what you're doing and then looking back at what things I've experienced. And this is really a great system that you put together because a lot of times, whether it's our nervous system or whatever it is, life is very difficult and...

Especially right now, there's a lot of changes going on, a lot of things going on in the country, a lot of things going on in the world. And so our bodies, our bodies and our minds are just like, there's overflowing with noise and with all sorts of other stuff. And then of course, we, know, we're, living also sort of on autopilot. So we don't always feel these things. We, sense them, we feel them, but we don't actually feel them. Like you were describing before, wherever you look. And so I really love this aspect where.

Angelica (29:17.902)
We don't acknowledge.

Ramon Vela (29:23.352)
It feels like from your products, I actually just went on your website, I was looking at this. It's like you, through your products and through this system, you're almost as if you first are calming. It's almost as if you calm down first, you breathe, kind of like what we did earlier. You breathe. And then of course, sleep is so important. You get the rest and everything else.

And when you get yourself to this point, now you have, now your brain is a little more clearer, a little bit less going crazy. And now you can make some, some better decisions. You can make some clearer decisions. And part of those is really being, and then using the CBT, being able to see, through all that noise about, of who you are. Right. Because.

The noise of everything that's going on is telling us like, you're not enough. You're not worthy. You're not capable of doing this. Going back to your experience when you're telling us about how you grew up and it was very male dominated and you were expected to be a wife or this or that.

And by the way, this stuff is real. remember going to college and I remember talking to someone, this is back in the late eighties, and having a conversation with this girl who wanted to be a teacher. And she was telling me that her father was very traditional and he wanted her just to get married. Like that was like, why go to school? Like it was a waste of time to go to become a teacher or study. So this stuff is real. But that's an extreme case. People experience this kind of stuff.

in little ways all throughout their lives. But the point is, I love the system, because it feels like you're calming, you're waking people up, you're getting people to be present, you're getting them now to be able to think clearly about the situation, and the CBT really helps people get clarity. Like if you're feeling like you're not worthy, well, the CBT can help you.

Ramon Vela (31:39.377)
break that down into why it does not make sense, right? Like why does your brain telling you, trying to get you to think a certain way. But anyhow, I love this because I feel like it's a very, it's a great system from beginning to end. Like it's all there for you. So I appreciate that. I think I love that. And so one question I did have though,

while listening to you is the idea of rituals. Why, from the, for the audience standpoint, why are rituals so important?

Angelica (32:13.71)
Rituals are very important because they become habits. You can either have good rituals or negative rituals. I'm not going say bad, but negative rituals that will take you to that place that could be the most amazing space for you or that can take you to a place where you are just going to sink, go down and have a tougher time to get out of it. So when you create small rituals that become amazing habits,

then your life changes, you feel better. And our system is created so you can start on those small rituals to create those habits in a very easy but very powerful way. Let me just tell you, for example, when I was growing up in this very traditional family, I had been working since I was 11 in the summers at a gas station. I did not know, you know, about

gender discrimination, but I was discriminated as a girl at a gas station because I would put gas and all that. know, growing up every summer getting a little better job, I became somebody's secretary and then somebody's assistant. I did not know that I was being discriminated until I started doing self-cert, until I started knowing my worth, until I started understanding that I needed to respect me and dignify me.

for others to see who I was becoming. Because of all of that, and obviously the taking care of my body and taking care of my mind and taking care of my spirit, because I started very early on, I became the CEO of one of the largest energy groups of Mexico in the northern part of the country at age 29. I went on this amazing journey, and then I was CEO of another huge corporation.

Ramon Vela (34:03.942)
Mm.

Angelica (34:12.45)
that was in 17 countries. It was in the red when I took over, turned it around within seven days and built over a billion dollar company. How did I do that? I was very center. I believed in me. What do rituals and habits do? They allow you to come back to you, to believe in who you are, who you were meant to be. We stopped believing in ourselves because of everything that happens on the outside. And that's why rituals are so important.

Ramon Vela (34:16.55)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (34:35.118)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (34:41.23)
Why are rituals important? Because at the age of 52, I had to reinvent myself. In Mexico, being a country is corrupt as it is with a very small place for, the judicial system, there's not a lot of rule of law. I was stripped from everything I owned, my company.

Ramon Vela (35:03.696)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (35:11.886)
My assets, everything in 24 hours.

Ramon Vela (35:16.316)
Hmm.

Angelica (35:17.01)
And I was about to be stripped from the most.

Precious.

people I had in my life at the time, my two daughters, two and four, they wanted to take my motherhood away. How did I go through that horrendous, darkest of places in my life? That's when the toughest, especially the possibility of losing my daughters forever, who were two and four, by having had all those rituals that became habits in my life, taking care of my body, being clear, being grounded.

Ramon Vela (35:42.885)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (35:55.23)
sleeping well, working, you know, spiritually within me, believing in me, understanding who I was, what I could do, having that strength and that courage that, you know, was inside of me. That's how I got through that. That's how I went to the top of my mountain, you know, in my career, in the businesses that I ran. But that's also how I got through the darkest of moments, by those little rituals that became those amazing

Ramon Vela (36:11.099)
Hmm.

Ramon Vela (36:21.084)
Hmm.

Angelica (36:25.112)
habits. I could have, you know, gone under the sheets and, you know, become a victim of my circumstances, of the people that were doing this, even of me, and I chose not to. Because I could choose my life, my daughters and me, and I did. Why? Because I could. Because all of that, that is sometimes asleep in others, was already awake in me.

Ramon Vela (36:51.292)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (36:51.584)
And I reinvented myself at 52 and now at 62, I'm starting a new company called Nowful. Why? I want to give back what I got for me to do that. Do I want a great business? Yes, I want a great business, but I also, I believe in a company that has a for purpose and for profit. This company has a huge purpose. I want others.

come back to them, to reconnect, to understand that yes, they can have a better relationship with whoever they want to, that yes, they can have more success in their work, in their job, in their business, whatever they are. Come connect here. Come get to know you. Come love you, understand you. Be energized, be confident, and be centered.

Ramon Vela (37:38.14)
Hmm.

Ramon Vela (37:46.94)
Wow, that is an amazing story. mean, I'm glad you went there and it's quite extraordinary. what have you, well, let me back up for a second. Let me ask you this. These products and the system that you put together, it feels like this came out of those

challenging times, right? And because when you are, it's easy, when things are going well, it's kind of easy to have, you know, to do things and it not matter or, well, I shouldn't say it doesn't matter, but I'm saying that it's not urgent. But when you are facing, you know, the taking away of your business or, you know, like potentially losing your daughters or whatever it is,

there's a sense of urgency. There's a sense of, really need to stay focused. I really need to be clear. I really need to be present. I really need to be thinking clearly and all of that. And I really need to calm myself down because I'm not focused or whatever it might be. So there's a sense of urgency to all of this. So my assumption is that many of these things and these ideas and these concepts really came out of those times, right?

Angelica (39:13.358)
It did. They all came out of that time, out of those 40 years of, you know, creating those rituals in my life to allow me to thrive, but also to go through the darkest of moments in my life. Because at the end, real power comes from within. I was tested. I gave a lot. I've been working for 40 years with women and

Ramon Vela (39:30.586)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (39:37.211)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (39:43.542)
I would always tell them, if you put your power on everything that you have, the invitations you get to participate in X, Y, or Z, on your bank account, on the assets that you own, on how you look, on what you can buy. your power is out there on the job that you hold, on the title that has been given to you, if your power is there, the instant one of those or some of those get taken away, you will feel

totally alone, empty, powerless, that you don't want to, you know, go through life anymore. I would tell women this, wake up here, come back here, reconnect here, take care of you. And so life, the universe, God gave me, I guess it asked me without me knowing, are you really going to walk your talk, Angelica? I lost everything in 24 hours. It was stripped away from me.

Ramon Vela (40:38.235)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (40:42.875)
Hmm.

Angelica (40:43.969)
I never lost my power.

Ramon Vela (40:46.181)
Hmm.

Angelica (40:48.118)
It was always in here. And that's why I could move on, reinvent myself, continue my life. Nobody's broke my spirit because they could not break my spirit. Because that's where my power is. And that's what I want to want. I want people to understand, to feel with the now full system. It all comes back to you. Wake up.

Ramon Vela (41:04.859)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (41:12.411)
You

Angelica (41:18.018)
Connect with who you are.

Ramon Vela (41:22.21)
Wow. Go ahead. Well, no, I love this. the thing is that I was just going to make a comment because I've experienced this in my life, but it feels like that the universe gives us things sometimes to endure. And

Angelica (41:22.956)
I mean...

no, no, I was, I had already finished that one phrase.

Ramon Vela (41:49.5)
you know, especially like if you, um, you know, if you're looking, if you're looking to improve yourself, you're looking for, I don't know, whatever it is in your life, like more, um, more stability, whatever. It feels like a lot of times the universe will give you, uh, or like, let's say patience or love. The universe will somehow like test you. It will just like,

You don't just get love. like it tests you. And, you know, and so that you have to like learn about it. Like you have to, you know, you have to go through some sort of tribulation in order to actually get what you're looking for. And people kind of don't realize that sometimes is that sometimes these, these things that we go through are like gifts, right? Like I, what I went through, you know, back in the early 2010s, I look at it now and I think, I think it's, it's a gift, right? Like it's a gift.

So, do you want to pause for a

Angelica (42:50.444)
Yes, for a second, because it got me off of something happened here. Hold on one second, sorry.

Ramon Vela (42:55.867)
It's all right.

Angelica (43:01.996)
Okay, I'm back.

Ramon Vela (43:03.931)
All right, so let me unpause. So unpause, one, two, three. Okay, so I love all of this. Well, walk us through, so before, I wanna be respectful for your time. So you've walked us through the products. I want people to know what else they're gonna find there. And quite frankly, like what else, how else can they see you and be involved in what you're doing? Because...

Angelica (43:07.553)
I'll put.

Ramon Vela (43:33.116)
I kind of asked this before, but I feel like there's probably more that you can answer in the sense that you have this product, but you're so inspiring. so where, you know, can people find you somewhere in terms of like the messages that you and the message that you're giving out there? it social media? it, do you go on speaking tours? You know, how can people learn more about it?

learn more about you and be inspired by you, but also of course, you know, learn about the system.

Angelica (44:06.094)
So they can learn about me in angelicafuentes.com. We have started to get together a few speaking places where I'm gonna be a part of, that I think we're gonna start doing it lot more beginning of next year. There's something that I'm very interested in, especially for women. This system is for everybody, men, woman, it does not matter what age you are. My purpose has always been to work

mostly with women, but also with men, because men need to be brought in to cooperate with women. If we don't cooperate, nothing is going to get done. We created something called Circle of Now. Today, most of the people that participate in the Circle of Now are women. What do we do here? We come together to connect with one another, but to reconnect with oneself. So I talk to them.

Ramon Vela (44:39.109)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (44:44.155)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (45:04.77)
we do some exercises, starting with breathing exercises, by the way, which is very important, with being grateful. I give thanks for three things with my daughters every morning when I drive them to school. We've been doing this for 10 years, because I find it extremely important. We always have more things to be grateful for than to complain about if we stop to think about it. So the circles are now are places where

Ramon Vela (45:28.731)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (45:33.142)
Like I said, men and women today, they're mostly women can come together and they can learn about what we do. I always tell women, once you wake up here, you have a big responsibility. You need to go touch other women to allow them and understand that they can wake up within themselves. And those are the things that we're doing now. Obviously social media, I'm going to start doing some lives starting next week via.

Ramon Vela (45:51.684)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (46:01.868)
my Instagram, is AngelicaFantastic3. some of the things that I used to do a lot that I miss that I'm going to start again is going and speaking to people about...

Ramon Vela (46:17.381)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (46:20.014)
how you need to start now, how you should live your best life now, fueled by the moments you want to create today. People ask me, when should we start? When is a good time? Now. The good start to start, the good time to start is now. Do it. I always say, you wanna do something and you're afraid, do it with fear, but do it. Go out there, take.

Ramon Vela (46:36.123)
you

Angelica (46:48.462)
that step into the mystery of the unknown and become powerful.

So.

Ramon Vela (46:54.57)
And is your circle of now, is it a physical grouping or groups or is this digital? Like can someone from, you know, like the East Coast or the West Coast or, you know, central, can they join this group? Is it like a digital group that, you know, like online, Zoom or whatever?

Angelica (47:16.162)
We are doing physical groups, but one of the things that we have talked about and we're going to start doing them as well, because we have one in a week, is that we're going to connect as many women and men as they want to come in, you know, digitally, so they can be a part of our circle from wherever they are and, you know, flow with the energy that is created between being present and being digital. So, but they can connect.

when we start doing our, you impressions.

Ramon Vela (47:50.652)
And who was your typical, your typical customer? Like if you were, you know, in marketing, you call it like an avatar. Like who is that profile? Because it feels like pretty much anyone, you know, can benefit from this, you know, anyone, and any woman. but it also feels like this, this is something that, you know, especially because of your background in business and, so forth.

you know, someone who really feels like they, you know, like they have something to offer the world, or maybe they feel like there's, they're not, you know, being their full selves and that they have a lot more that can do into the world. I feel like someone like that, with that profile would really benefit from this and would also, think, be very attracted to something like this because, know, you, you're so accomplished, but it's, you know, it's really about.

you know, pulling that inner strength or finding that, you know, being awakened to that inner strength and then being able to pull that out and then accomplishing the things that you want to do. So I'm just curious, is it mostly business people or entrepreneurs or is it it mom and everyone else?

Angelica (49:03.502)
It's for everybody. Moms are as stressed. First and foremost, being a Latina woman, I'm a mom. We become very stressed. Whether you work or not work, people think that being a mother is not work. It's a lot of work. The biggest responsibilities on your hands you're creating are forming the future generations. So moms get very stressed. So it is for the moms. It is for moms. It is for single women. It is for single men. It is for

Anybody that feels anxious, stressed, that feels afraid of doing something that feels lonely. It's for everybody. Our biggest market is, you know, people, like I said, mostly women, because I think men have a little tougher time accepting the disconnection of themselves. But mostly it's from women between 23, 25 to high 50s.

Ramon Vela (49:42.907)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (49:55.514)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (50:02.062)
for today, but it's for everybody in between and outside. Just two days ago, coming back from North Carolina, I was sitting next to this woman. She was asking me, what did I do there and what was I doing? So I talked to her about now, full show of the car and everything. She started crying. She says, I have a 20 year old and she, I'm flying to Miami because she feels so lonely and so sad that she's gone into a depressed mode. Would you talk to her?

Ramon Vela (50:02.117)
Hmm.

Angelica (50:31.958)
I will pay you to be her mentor. I've been a mentor of many, many young women. I said, no, you don't have to pay me. Pay it forward. My daughters will eventually, hopefully we'll have somebody to talk to them. So I'm going to go talk to her daughter. She wants me to go talk to university aged kids that are going through a lot of loneliness and fears and not feeling

strong to overcome the pressure that today they feel a lot of it because of social media. They don't fit. They're not that pretty. They're not that strong. They're not that, you know, they don't have that because everybody posts the pretty pictures and the whatever they call them, the things that they put to make you look nicer. And, you know, you always post or most people put pictures on a good day. Nobody really wants to a sad story, which is

Sad to me. So that's another area that I think this is going to really be very helpful for the people who are going and starting college throughout the time because there's a lot of stress studying. My daughter uses this when she's studying. She breathes so she could focus so she could have more clarity so the memories can come right down immediately. That's very good. Kids will sleep like they used to anymore. So the cream is very good for them. The cards they need to have

Ramon Vela (51:55.461)
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Angelica (52:00.426)
a way of venting how they're feeling, a way of knowing themselves, a way of understanding that they are amazing and that they can get ahead and over the hurdles that they're facing today. So colleges is another place that actually two moms have asked me to see if I could come talk to their children, children like twins.

Ramon Vela (52:26.171)
Mm-hmm. know, yeah, no, no, and this is kind of a comment more, but you know, what I love about this is that you're hitting upon different aspects of our modern life where people really are looking for help, right? Because I covered another brand that's like a sleep aid brand. You know, they have these gummies that they provide. And they were sharing some statistics with me that, know, we're not just

sleep-deprived, we're exhausted as a people and our culture. People are not sleeping the way that they want to. And that's why there's all these, you know, people are creating products. But the main problem is that people just are not sleeping well. They're just, they're not getting good enough sleep. They're not getting enough sleep. They're not getting quality sleep. But it's not just there. I feel like the sleep is obviously like a symptom. You know, there's, there's other things that are causing that, I think.

the stress, the anxiety, the feeling of loneliness or sadness or whatever, there's all these different things. And I feel like what you're doing is you are touching upon each one of those different things and creating a system that encapsulates all these different areas. Because I think if you're awake, if you're clear and present, if you're getting enough sleep,

then you can think clearer, then you can make better decisions, then you can see clearly about who you are versus all the junk in your head. So I kinda, this is what I love about what you're talking about here, but any one of these parts and any one of these products is an answer or particular, or again, is addressing a huge need in our society. I mean, even if it's just the magnesium, the sleep cream, just that alone, you know.

Angelica (54:14.382)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (54:21.371)
addresses a huge issue that people are having, but together it's a really powerful system. Like together, along with, you know, the cards and everything else, together it's a really powerful system. And by the way, this is just my comments and I want to be respectful of your time. There's, I feel like, you you mentioned about reinventing your life in 52. I would say

And maybe one of your target audiences are those people who are like in their 45s or 50s. There's a lot of change going on. What I've been looking, I've been reading some statistics about, especially people being laid off and so forth. find it difficult to continue their careers at a certain, after a certain age. And I know there's ageism and all that other stuff, but I also feel like, you know, at that, like those people have so much.

to still give to the world, right? People think like after 50, your life is over. It's not, it's like you're just in the second half of life. mean, but people feel that way. I mean, you know this and people feel like, oh, it's just downhill from that. But there are still a lot of people who have, know, wanna take care of themselves physically, mentally, but feel like they have more to give.

Angelica (55:18.446)
Yes.

Ramon Vela (55:45.798)
but they feel maybe like their emotions are telling them like, no, you can't do this. You're too old or you're too this or that. I don't know. I kind of feel like there's a market right there. I kind of feel like there's a market for people, especially we're living longer, so they have a lot more years to live. And so there's a lot of people who are living lives of quiet desperation. You know, like that phrase? And I think that's a huge issue for a lot of people. We're living longer.

but we're not living happier because we're living unfulfilled. And especially if you are looking for a second career or whatnot, people need something like this, especially in that age. So that's just my two cents. mean, it's your business, but I'm just saying I see it.

Angelica (56:28.31)
Yeah, no. And I agree. And the other thing is, for example, you know, in companies, we are so used to just putting a last name or a number or a position. Companies also need to understand that wellness is not against productivity. It's the base of being productive. It's the base of achievement.

Ramon Vela (56:56.859)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (56:57.518)
And a lot of people think that wellness is something for or we serve for the people that have the money and the time. And now if we believe that wellness is not a luxury, but your superpower. And I think companies also need to understand that there are people, and especially a lot of women who have the double job in the company and then they go home and have another job, they're burned out. They're stressed. They're tired.

Ramon Vela (57:11.696)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (57:25.506)
can't give your best when you feel that way. But if you allow them to come back and refocus and recalibrate and sleep and feel better and feel more grounded.

and they can understand themselves and they know where they're going, those people are gonna give way more to you as a company. Why do I tell you this? Because in the companies that I was leading, we didn't have the cards I wish we did. But what I did is that we had equal pay for equal work way before it was even talked about 17 countries top to bottom executives to the people that were cleaning the offices, men and women. We had breastfeeding infrastructure. When women were back then, they were like,

They even felt bad doing it. Paternity leave, not just maternity leave. We had flex time in home office way before COVID. What am I saying with this? I was giving them the things that they required. A lot of conferences, I spoke to them a lot in person and then I connected with every other country that we were working with. Talking to them about the importance of connection, the importance about their lives, not just the company, their lives. They were not just

Ramon Vela (58:11.643)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-mm.

Angelica (58:38.688)
another number or another position that were people. So all that we did in this four wellness essentials, I gave them in an even harder, more expensive way because I had to travel, I had to talk to them, we had to do all these different things. Companies also need to understand that their people are burned out, that they are humans and not machines.

Ramon Vela (58:54.255)
Okay.

Ramon Vela (59:03.321)
Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm.

Angelica (59:07.296)
and that they need to feel well about themselves in mind, body, and emotions. So that's another big space for us. It would be to, you know, go to companies so we can, you know, so they can understand that wellness is not against or totally, you know, away from achievement. It's, like I said, the base of it.

Ramon Vela (59:16.443)
Mm-hmm. Wow.

Ramon Vela (59:36.143)
Mm-hmm.

Angelica (59:36.366)
When somebody feels good about their whole self, that person gives more to you. It's more productive in every sense. We did it. And productivity just went up by allowing people to feel good, to connect with them, to understand that family is also important, that they are important. It all starts with me.

Ramon Vela (59:50.427)
Mm-hmm.

Ramon Vela (01:00:01.692)
Well, I'm glad you brought that up. That's actually been something that I've noticed and I've been thinking about myself because, you know, I speak to a lot of executives and so forth and I talk to them and people tell me like, yeah, I'm doing this. I'm doing this modality, like I'm meditating or I'm doing that or I'm exercising or you know what I mean? Like they're, they're focused on improving their own inner development as well as their outer development.

And then I often think, yeah, that's fantastic. But how about the people that you lead? how, like if you're feeling stressed out and you're working on yourself to get better, so you're not stressed out or whatever, how about your people? Like how many, they're probably a stress, probably more stressed out than you are. and so there's a, what I, the opportunity that I see out there, if I'm going to put my entrepreneur hat on is how do we, and you're already kind of doing this.

But how do you teach someone this program, however you describe it, this program, so that they can then not only heal themselves, but how do you teach it so now they can go on and heal, like have the language or the communication to heal or to help their employees, right? mean, part of it is like bringing someone like you in. But I mean, they also, they have to like,

This is like a leadership thing almost, you know what mean? if, and I'm just, I mean, obviously you said anyone can do this program, but I'm just thinking now from an opportunities standpoint, leaders need something like this. And then they need also the language to be able to help, you know, lead their organizations because their people are burned out. They're stressed out, they're anxiety. I mean, they're feeling everything they are and so forth. So anyhow, I don't mean to go down the rabbit hole, but I mean, I just saying that,

you have a lot of potential in what you're doing and I think it's amazing. So I truly appreciate it. So I want to make sure that people can know the websites, know where to go, social media. And if you have any last words that you want to leave with the audience, I want to be respectful of your time. We are already going over a little bit of our time, but any last words that you want to leave or yeah, leave. I hate saying last words. It sounds so morbid. Anything you want to leave with the audience.

Angelica (01:02:26.638)
I just want to leave with all of you that it's literally now full. The now full system is literally a gift back to the universe from me. I want people to feel good, feel better, be stronger, be more connected. I want them to wake up in the morning the way I wake up in the morning with a lot of self love.

confidence. I wake up energized to take on that day. Whatever life throws at me, I'm so ready to receive it, to learn the lesson, to move forward, to be a better mom, a better friend, a better leader, a better everything. And the Nellifle system will allow you to create those rituals that will become habits for you to lead that life.

Ramon Vela (01:03:25.871)
Thank you so much. Well, this has been an amazing conversation. You are welcome back. There's parts of your story that I wanted that I would delve into it, but obviously we'd be here another couple of hours or whatnot. So I have to pick and choose what I focus on, but you're always welcome back whenever you have something new to update. And maybe next time I'd love to focus on your reinvention side of the story, because I feel like I said, I sense a lot of people need something like that.

But this has been fantastic. Thank you so much. The website is angelicafuentes.com is your personal website. And now nowfulljourney.com is the website where you can look more about the products. We're gonna have both of those links on our podcast description. Your social media, do you know that offhand?

Angelica (01:04:17.26)
Yes, it's Angelica Fuentes63 is my Instagram. I think like TikTok is also Angelica Fuentes. I don't really know it by heart. But yeah, it's.

Ramon Vela (01:04:27.451)
We'll make sure to have that link on the podcast description too. So you can find it. And what I would recommend is going on the website, signing up for the newsletter. That way you learn more about all these amazing things that are happening because the digital ties group or the circle of now, as well as the products and speaking engagements and things like that. If you've enjoyed listening to her speak for this few minutes that we've had her on,

then I think you'll really enjoy seeing her speak somewhere and you definitely should be kept involved. So sign up for the newsletter, it's probably the best thing to do and that way you keep up to date with all the updates. Beyond that, this has been fantastic. Thank you. I wish we had more time to talk on so many different levels, but I appreciate your time. Thank you so much for sharing a little bit about NowFold and about yourself on our podcast.

You're very welcome. Everyone out there, like I said, we're to have all the links on our podcast description, which you can find on Apple, Spotify, pretty much anywhere you listen to podcasts, you'll be able to find that. Beyond that, I always say stay sane, stay safe and stay healthy. And you can actually do some of those things by visiting nowfoldjourney.com or angelicafuentes.com and look to see what you've listened to this or you watched this eventually.

you should go in and look more and go to the website, find out a little bit more about the system, look at the products. Each one of these products, seems to me, really addresses a symptom or an issue that people are feeling, like the lack of sleep and so forth. But together, I think it makes a really amazing system. So go take a look. I think from a health perspective, this definitely qualifies, especially if you're feeling, if you listen to this and you can relate to some of the things that we've talked about. Beyond that, everyone, one last thing.

We've all been going through a lot stuff, know, a lot of anxiety, pandemic, geopolitical wars, politics, economy, whatever it is, there's all sorts of stuff in there. There's a lot of things to make us stressed out and full anxious. Let's just do ourselves a favor and remember that everyone is going through something. And if we can just be a little kinder to each other, I know we can make this human experience a better one. Beyond that, thank you from the bottom of my heart for listening to another episode of the story of a brand.
